README Honeywell Video Analytics Build: 4.7.0.75 ========================================= Before installing the Honeywell Video Analytics, you need to first install 3rd party components and their drivers if needed. - For installation of Honeywell IP Utility to use the software with Honeywell EQUIP series IP cameras, please refer to Video Analytics V4 Installation Guide, Appendix A. - For installation of Euresys frame grabber cards for capturing analog video, please refer to Video Analytics V4 Installation Guide, Appendix B. - For installation of Measurement Computing relay boards for enabling relay output, please refer to Video Analytics V4 Installation Guide, Appendix C. --- Important!! --- To ensure uninterrupted communications between servers and clients, we strongly recommend the installation of a Network Time Protocol (NTP) software on computers where Honeywell Video Analytics servers or clients are installed. Please refer to the documents in the "NTP" folder on this CD for information about the Meinberg NTP software package. Refer to Video Analytics V4 Installation Guide, Appendix D for detailed installtion steps. IMPORTANT NOTE on Installation: ------------------------------- - If the Setup.exe does not start automatically or cannot be started (occasionally happens on a brand new system), please go to the 'Drivers\Dotnetfx' folder and click on dotnetfx.exe to install .NET 2.0 manually. Once .NET 2.0 is installed on the system, restart InstallLauncher.exe to install the necessary components on your system. - There will be an account HVA_AEReports created on the server during the installation process, ***PLEASE LEAVE THIS ACCOUNT ALONE!!!*** Any modification made to this account may cause the reporting tool to not function properly! - While unistalling the Full package, the confirm database deletion page may open behind the Honeywell Video Analytics page. - Installation of the client package on Windows Vista may take 5-15 minutes. - Installing the software on Windows Server 2003 Small Business Edition should not cause an error that prevents installation to succeed. Check that 'Windows Installer' service is running before proceeding with installation.
